To create a smart card, you need:

• a smart card request
• a 3x3.5cm colour photo (must not be older than one year)
• a payment of EUR 3.98 for creating a profile.

The profile is valid for one year from the date of issue.

You can submit your application and photo at the ticket office. The smart card is created within 7 days and is collected at the ticket office where the request was submitted. When collecting a smart card, you'll be charged for creating a profile.

Based on your smart card, you can buy:

• a 15-day ticket - 15 days from the date of issue
• a 30-day ticket - 30 days from the date of issue
• an annual ticket - from date to date 

You buy 15-day, 30-day or annual tickets for a specific route on the railway network in the Republic of Croatia, and it includes an unlimited number of trips for 1st or 2nd class of passenger trains.

Season tickets are issued for passenger trains and are valid on all regular trains without paying an additional supplement for travel on fast/IC trains.

A 20% discount is granted for an annual ticket purchased with a single payment, and a 5% discount is granted for an instalment payment.
