Tickets can be purchased at HZPP ticket offices with a 40% discount or online (online tickets are 10% cheaper than tickets bought at the counter). Seat reservations are required in both day and night trains and cost 1.06 EUR. The special offer is not valid for travel shorter than 25 km.
Passengers traveling on night trains can purchase a ticket for a sleeping car, couchette car, or seated car.
Passengers who choose to travel in a sleeping car or couchette car pay an additional charge for the use of a bed or couchette, in addition to the ticket price, according to the following rates:
Sleeping car tickets are purchased at ticket offices. If passengers cannot visit the ticket office in person, they may request a reservation via mail rezervacije@hzpp.hr at least 48 hours before departure. The request should include the date and route, number of passengers, and train number. If traveling on a night train, specify whether it’s a seating or sleeping car, and the desired compartment type (single, double, or triple bed). An invoice will be emailed, and upon payment, passengers will receive a ticket that can be printed or shown on a mobile device.

Children, school pupils, university students, pensioners, and seniors over 65 travel free of charge upon presenting a smart card (more information you can find at Free transport). Seat reservation of 1.06 EUR is still required for both day and night trains. In night trains, sleeping car surcharges apply for these categories.
In daytime trains, bicycles can be transported in a car with space for bicycles (10 spots).
From September 1, bicycles can be transported on train IC 523, and from September 2 also on trains IC 520 and IC 522.
On night trains, only folding bicycles can be transported, which are carried as hand luggage.
The ticket price for a bicycle is €1.99.
