According to a notice from the Austrian Federal Railways, due to the forecast of a snowstorm from 12 to 13 January 2026, passengers are advised not to travel to/through/from Austria.
For this reason, the Austrian Federal Railways are allowing flexible use of tickets in international traffic to/through/from Austria, regardless of where the ticket was issued.
Tickets that were reserved or purchased by 12 January 2026 for travel between 12 and 13 January may be used on any day until 31 January 2026. If passengers decide to cancel their journey, they are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price.
For passengers holding IRT tickets, the Austrian Federal Railways will issue new reservations.
According to a notice from Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB), due to construction works between the stations Hall in Tirol and Innsbruck Hbf, a special traffic arrangement will be in place from 8 to 30 January 2026.
From the night of 8/9 to 28/29 January 2026, the through coaches of train 414/464 on the Zagreb GK – Zurich Hbf route, and from the night of 8/9 to 30/31 January 2026, the through coaches of train 465/415 on the Zurich Hbf – Zagreb GK route, will be diverted and will operate via an alternative route Schwarzach St. Veit – Salzburg Hbf – Bregenz and back, without stopping at the intermediate stations Salzburg and Bregenz.
During this period, train 414/464 will arrive in Zurich at 11:29 AM, and train 465/415 will depart from Zurich earlier, at 6:26 PM.
Exceptionally, on 24th/25th January and 25th/26th January 2026, train 414 and train 415 to Salzburg Hbf will operate via an alternative route Sevnica – Celje – Maribor – Spielfeld-Strass – Graz – Salzburg Hbf, without stopping at intermediate stations. Accordingly, train (15)414 will depart from Zagreb GK at 5:54 PM, and train (15)415 will arrive at Zagreb GK at 11:44 AM.
Passengers traveling between the stations Dobova, Ljubljana, Jesenice, Villach, and Salzburg Hbf, and the stations Schwarzach St. Veit, Innsbruck, and Bregenz are referred to other trains or buses organized by the Slovenian Railways and Austrian Federal Railways.
According to a notice from German Railways, due to construction works between Stuttgart Hbf and Munich Hbf, starting on the night of 16/17 February 2026, train 237 will operate on a diversionary route via Neuoffingen – Donauwörth – Augsburg Hbf, without any change to the departure time from the originating station.
